1. BOOKING & PAYMENT
• Once you complete a booking form, a $50 non-refundable deposit secures your date (payment due
within 48 hours)
• The remaining balance is due 7 days before your event
• We can't deliver without full payment received
• A $200 bond is held until equipment collection - this covers any damage or excessive cleaning needs
• Your bond is returned within 48 hours of collection (may take up to 3 business days to appear in your
account)
• By making payment, you agree to these terms and conditions
2. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Age & Supervision:
• Equipment is designed for children under 5 years only
• A responsible adult must supervise at all times
• Keep sick children away from equipment to prevent spreading germs
Before Playing:
• Remove all shoes, jewellery, glasses, and empty pockets
• Babies and toddlers must wear nappies or clothing
• Use the provided shoe rack to stay organised
What's Not Allowed On/Near Equipment:
• Food, drinks, or chewing gum
• Face paint, glitter, or messy play items
• Toys, sharp objects, or animals
• Smoking or alcohol
• Party streamers or bubbles
Safe Play Guidelines:
• Don't let children run onto equipment - encourage walking
• Ensure 2 meters clear space around all equipment
• Don't overcrowd the ball pit - separate big and little kids when possible
• Help small children enter/exit the ball pit safely
• Keep equipment in shade - don't let children play on hot surfaces
• Ensure children wear hats and sunscreen for outdoor events
Setup & Pack-up Safety:
• Keep children away during our setup and pack-up times
• Don't move, adjust, or attach anything to equipment once set up
• Never leave equipment unattended
3. EQUIPMENT CARE & CLEANLINESS
Your Responsibilities:
• Keep equipment clean and dry throughout your event
• Return all escaped balls to the ball pit before pack-up
• Ensure equipment is returned in the same condition as delivered
• You're responsible for any stains or damage during your hire period
Cleaning & Bond Policy:
• Excessive mess will result in your $200 bond being used as a cleaning fee
• What counts as "excessive mess": food stains, paint/glitter residue, bodily fluids, or anything requiring
deep cleaning beyond normal sanitisation
• Normal wear from play is expected and included
• If equipment returns in good condition, your full $200 bond is returned within 48 hours
Our Promise:
• We sanitise and clean all equipment between hires
• Equipment arrives clean and ready for your event
4. WEATHER & VENUE REQUIREMENTS
Space Requirements:
• Ensure your venue has adequate space for your package size
• Keep 2 meters clear around all equipment
• Provide adequate shade for outdoor events
Weather Policy:
• We love outdoor parties, but you need a wet weather backup plan
• If rain is forecast, notify us of your undercover backup location by 7am on event day
• No backup plan = we may refuse setup to protect equipment
• Your deposit is held and event can be rebooked within 12 months
5. CANCELLATION POLICY
If You Cancel:
• More than 7 days before your event: You forfeit the $50 deposit, all other payments refunded
• 7 days or less before your event: You forfeit the $50 deposit, remaining payments become a credit
valid for 12 months
Weather Cancellations:
• If we can't set up due to weather and you don't have a backup plan, your deposit is held and you can
rebook within 12 months (no penalty)
Our Cancellation Rate:
• Only 1-2% of bookings get cancelled or rescheduled - we're pretty reliable!
6. LIABILITY & INSURANCE
Your Responsibilities:
• You're responsible for ensuring safe use of our equipment
• Take all reasonable steps to prevent injury to guests and damage to equipment
• Follow all safety guidelines outlined in these terms
Our Insurance & Standards:
• We maintain public liability insurance as required in Queensland
• We operate within accepted Health & Safety standards
• Our staff reserve the right to refuse service if safety standards aren't met
Liability Limitations:
• To the extent permitted by Australian law, Bubs & Blocks is not liable for injuries occurring during
equipment use
• Adult supervision and safe play practices are essential
• Equipment must not be left unattended at any time
Important Notes:
• Our safety sign must remain clearly visible throughout your event
• Don't alter, move, or attach anything to equipment without written permission
• Parameter fencing is a boundary - not for climbing
